Changes in consumer expectations and buying behaviors driven by the “Amazon effect” have caused supply chains to become more reactive.  Now, more than ever, supply chains must be adaptable, reliable, and transparent in order to meet the needs of shippers and their end consumers. Join us for our March luncheon at the Downtown Club (Houston Center) where Greg Price, CEO, from Shipwell Inc., will provide direct insight on how Shipwell is leveraging visibility, machine learning, AI, and prescriptive analytics in their platform to help combat the challenges facing the industry.

Cloud technology and end-to-end supply chain visibility have the power to connect and up level the entire ecosystem which will ease the problems of port velocity, reducing congestion and demurrage cost while increasing supply chain efficiencies through a reduction in waste.

Port delays have dramatic effects on just in time distribution systems. The lack of visibility and thus control mitigates the ability of the manufacturer or shipper to manage inventory, distribution, and transportation costs. Digitalizing supply chains and creating reliable data intelligence is creating the opportunity to better track and manage supply chains, prevent delays, bringing better customer experiences, and cost management functionality.

Greg Price is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of SHIPWELL, a logistics organization in Austin, Texas.
